Stefan Gannon is an English barrister. He was in private practice, an international legal adviser to Midland Bank Plc and the legal adviser to the Monetary Affairs Branch of the Hong Kong Government. He was involved in the establishment of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority in 1993. He has been its General Counsel and an Executive Director since. Stefan is the Vice Chairman of the Professional Advisory Board of the Asian Institute of International Financial Law and a Fellow of the Society for Advanced Legal Studies.
