Professor E C Schlemmer is professor of law at the University of South Africa in the Department of Public, Constitutional and International Law. She teaches international economic law, international investment law and international transport law. She is a member of the editorial board of Obiter and assistant editor of the South African Yearbook of International Law. She is a fellow of the International University in Germany and has been a visiting professor/scholar at the Universities of Leuven, Namibia, Münster, Saarbrücken and Tokyo. Her fields of specialisation also include aspects of banking law, insurance law, and law of property.
